(1) Mold design features

The combined die structure is easy to process, exhaust and maintain, saves materials and can adapt to complex shapes.

For plastic tableware molds with complex shapes, the combined structure can effectively solve the problem of difficulty in overall mold processing. The combination of inlays can be flexibly adjusted according to different product requirements. For plastic tableware of different shapes such as round, square and rectangular, it can be achieved by combining different die parts.

Design according to factors such as product shape, size and precision, and select appropriate materials and heat treatment processes.

It is also crucial to select appropriate mold materials and heat treatment processes according to product requirements. Generally speaking, the material of the mold base is high-strength and wear-resistant to ensure the stability and durability of the mold. For key components such as the die head and core, materials with high hardness and good surface quality are required, and they are processed through multiple processes such as milling, drilling, turning and polishing to ensure their dimensional accuracy and surface quality.



(2) Injection molding production process

Prepare molten plastic, inject it into the mold, control pressure and time to ensure full filling and molding.

In the injection molding process, the first step is to prepare molten plastic. Commonly used plastic materials include polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), etc. These materials need to be preheated and dried. The preheating time is generally 1.5-2 minutes, and the temperature rises to 80℃-100℃. This can remove moisture from the raw materials and avoid dull surface, uneven color, surface bubbles and other phenomena of the product. At the same time, the feed amount must be accurately controlled. Excessive feed amount will cause too many burrs on the product and it is not easy to clean; insufficient molding pressure will cause incomplete solidification of the product.

Then, the molten plastic is injected into the mold cavity. In this process, the injection pressure and time need to be controlled. The injection pressure is generally controlled between 70Mpa-90Mpa, and the holding time is 1-5 seconds. Excessive pressure will cause the surface of the product to be loose; too low pressure will cause uneven plastic flow, forming gaps and bubbles. Short injection time will lead to insufficient plastic filling and material shortage; too long injection time will cause plastic overcutting, thermal decomposition, and affect product quality.

Plastics are formed by cooling and solidification, and the mold is opened to remove the product.

After the plastic is injected into the mold cavity, it needs to be cooled and solidified before it can be formed. The cooling time generally accounts for half or even more of the production cycle. There are two main cooling methods: natural cooling and hot air cooling.
