The injection molding process is a method of injecting molten material into a mold and obtaining a molded product after cooling and solidification. This process is suitable for mass production and the manufacture of complex-shaped products.
The basic process of injection molding includes the following stages: mold closing, injection, pressure holding, cooling, mold opening and product removal. These steps are repeated to produce products in batches and periodically. The molding process of thermosetting plastics and rubber is similar, but the barrel temperature is lower, the injection pressure is higher, the mold needs to be heated, and the material needs to undergo a curing or vulcanization process in the mold after injection.
Injection molding is widely used in different industries to manufacture electrical components, automotive components, basic consumer plastics, furniture components, etc. Due to its high output rate and consistent quality, injection molding occupies an important position in industrial production.
